Cookies
This site sets no cookies. That is why you were not asked to accept any.
Why there is no banner
Consent banners exist because most sites place cookies for advertising and tracking, and UK law requires permission before they do. This site places none, so there is nothing to ask permission for. The absence of a banner is not an oversight.
The one thing that is stored
If you switch the site between light and dark, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under a single entry so the site opens the way you left it.
- It is one word: whether you chose light or dark.
- It stays on your device. It is never sent to this site, or anywhere else.
- It identifies nothing and no-one, and is not a cookie.
- Clear it by clearing site data for sirishill.com in your browser settings, or by using a private window.
If you never touch the toggle, nothing is stored at all and the site simply follows whatever your device already prefers.
Visitor statistics
Visitor numbers are counted using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which was chosen because it works without cookies and without identifying anyone. It records that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, and which site linked here. It does not follow you between sites, does not build a profile, and cannot tell one visitor from another across visits.
Buying a print
Payment happens on Stripe's own pages, not here. Stripe does set cookies there, which it needs for security and fraud prevention, and those are covered by its policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy. Nothing from Stripe is set while you are on this site.
Embedded content
There is no embedded video, no social media widget, no comment system and no advertising script anywhere on this site. Those are the usual source of third-party cookies on an artist's website, and they are absent here by choice.

What happens to information you deliberately send – an enquiry, the mailing list, an order – is set out in the privacy notice.
