Terms of sale
These are the terms on which Siris Hill Ltd sells prints through this site. They do not take away any right you have by law as a consumer; where the two disagree, the law wins.
Who you are buying from
Siris Hill Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number company number, registered office registered office address. VAT VAT number, or delete this line if not VAT registered. Contact: partners@sirishill.com.
What you are buying
An archival pigment print on Hahnemühle William Turner 310gsm paper, with hand-deckled edges, hand-signed and numbered by the artist. Each work is released in an edition of thirty.
Prints are made in batches rather than held in a warehouse, so the one you receive is produced to the same specification but is not identical to the photograph on screen. Paper is a handmade mould-made sheet; deckled edges vary by definition, and slight variation in the edge is a feature of the material, not a fault.
Screens differ. Colour on your monitor or phone will not match ink on cotton rag exactly, and cannot.
Price and payment
The price shown on the edition's page is the price you pay, in pounds sterling. Delivery is state: included, or charged at checkout, or invoiced separately.
Payment is taken by Stripe on their own secure pages. No card details are entered on this site.
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when a written order confirmation is sent to you, not when payment is taken. If a print has in fact sold out, or a price has been published in obvious error, the order can be refused and anything paid is refunded in full and without argument.
Delivery
Prints are dispatched within e.g. 10 working days of the order being confirmed, and in any event within 30 days, which is the maximum the law allows without your agreement.
Works are sent e.g. rolled in a tube / flat-packed, tracked and insured. Risk passes to you on delivery.
Outside the UK, any customs duty, import VAT or handling charge is payable by you. These are set by your own country and are not within the control or knowledge of Siris Hill Ltd.
Cancelling, and changing your mind
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have fourteen days from the day you receive the print to cancel, for any reason or none, and you do not have to explain yourself.
To cancel, email partners@sirishill.com before the fourteen days are up. You then have a further fourteen days to send the print back.
- The refund is the full price paid, including the standard delivery charge if one was paid, and is made within fourteen days of the print arriving back.
- Return postage is at your cost unless the print is faulty or was sent in error.
- The print must come back in the condition it arrived in, in its original packaging. A work that has been mounted, framed, trimmed or handled without care can be refunded at a reduced amount to reflect the loss in value, which is what the Regulations permit.
This right is not affected by a print being numbered. An edition print is not a personalised or made-to-order good, and no attempt is made here to argue otherwise.
If something arrives damaged or wrong
Tell us within e.g. 14 days of delivery, with photographs of the work and the packaging. A damaged, faulty or incorrect print is replaced or refunded in full, including postage both ways.
Separately from anything written here, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you thirty days from delivery to reject faulty goods for a full refund, and further rights after that. Those rights stand whatever this page says.
The edition
Thirty prints. When the thirtieth is sold, the edition is closed and no further print is made of that image at that size, on that paper, by that process. Artist proofs: state the number held back, or delete this sentence.
The right is kept to show the image elsewhere – in a book, a catalogue, online, in an exhibition, or at a different size in a different medium. That is not a breach of the edition and does not affect what you own.
Copyright
Copyright in the artwork remains with Siris Hill. Buying a print buys the physical object and the right to keep, display, lend or resell that object. It does not transfer any right to reproduce the image, commercially or otherwise, and it does not license its use in print, online or in any product.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, liability for any one order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.
